By: Coelho, Paulo

Translated to Arabic, 'Onze Minutos' (Eleven Minutes), a 2003 novel by Paulo Coelho (b. 1947, Brazil), originally written in Portuguese. The story is of a young prostitute and her journey to find what true love is, as a prostitute. This book explores the 'sacred' nature of sex and depicts two types of prostitution: prostitution for money and sacred prostitution. There are references to sadomasochism. The title, Eleven Minutes, is a reference to the duration of sex.
