Written in 126 parts this book contains Yahya ibn Abi al-Khayr al-Imrani's (489/1095-558/1162) critique and response to the interpretations of the Mu'tazilah and the Qadriyyah, which he considered wrong and harmful. Imrani was an important scholar and jurist from Yemen, of the Shafi'i school, and author of the great 'al-Bayan fi Fiqh al-Imam Shafi'i'.
