The book is divided into jurisprudence chapters. The translation is based on the issues on which there is agreement and the disputed issues falling under the chapter.
Each chapter mentions the doctrines of Companions, Followers, Companions, and the four Imams, citing the hadiths or narrations of each group as proof.
The book of al-Awsat is distinguished by the fact that it records what it receives from the scholars, whether it comes from them to report it, or it comes from their books or from their students, etc. Ibn al-Mundhir is notable in his book because he does not prefer one School of Thought to another, nor does he prefer one School to another. He prefers what he believes to be correct, so he narrates it and follows it. He is also different in the scope of his narration because he produces narrations that you might not find anywhere else. He also discusses the authenticity of the Hadith and chains of its narrations, whether they are true or not, and about the narrators, if they are good or bad. He has quoted in his book other works that have not yet reached us.
