In 8 volumes, Commentary on the Mukhtasar al-Qudduri by the Imam, the scholar and jurist Abu Nasr Ahmad Muhammad al-Aqta’, who died in 474 AH. He was a student of the Imam, the jurist Abu al-Husayn al-Qudduri. This is the first book to be published by the author, (may God have mercy on him), as none of his works had been published before. It is a unique and valuable book, and scholars of jurisprudence have relied on it in their books, such as Imam al-Zayla’i, al-Babarti, Ibn al-Mulaqqin, al-Badr al-Ayni, al-Kamal Ibn al-Humam, Mulla Khusraw, Ibn Nujaym al-Misri, Ibn Abidin, al-Maydani, and others.

This commentary is the first commentary on al-Qudduri’s Mukhtasar. It is a book of immense benefits and great returns. It is one of the most clear commentaries on «al-Mukhtasar» in style and wording, and one of the most removed from complexity and ambiguity. It pays great attention to comparative jurisprudence, in addition to its attention to presenting the opinions attributed to their authors in an edited form, especially the Maliki and Shafi’i schools.

This book, which we are presenting for the first time, Sharh Mukhtasar al-Qudduri, is a complete commentary that has never been edited before. We are publishing it edited from eighteen precious manuscript copies, one of which was only 26 years before the author's death. Along with it is «Taqrib al-Gharib: Sharh Gharib al-Ahadith waqi'ah fi Sharh Abi Nasr al-Aqta'» by al-Hafiz Qasim ibn Qutlubugha al-Hanafi.
