In this study, we sought to conduct a comparison—not for the sake of comparison itself, but to uphold the truth and refute falsehood. The falsehood to which we refer is the notion that Islamic thought is devoid of any connection to the empirical method or the rules of induction used to discover natural causes. Conversely, the truth we aim to highlight is the Muslims' innovation of the science of *Usul* (Principles of Jurisprudence) and their formulation of rules for inducing *Sharia* causes—rules that are equally valid for inducing natural causes. This dichotomy between falsehood and truth manifested itself in a debate involving two groups: proponents holding intellectual authority within European culture, and others possessing deep insight into and extensive knowledge of Islamic culture, alongside a sufficient understanding of the contours, sources, and currents of European culture.
